Sikkim ITI Admission, Admit Card, Entrance Exam and Results

The Directorate General of Employment & Training (DGE&T) in the Ministry of Labour, Government of India initiated the Craftsmen Training Scheme (CTS) in the year 1950 for imparting technical skills in various vocational trades to fulfill the demand of skilled manpower in various industries. At present there are 10,750 ITI’s in the country out of which 2275 are in Government sector and 8475 are in private sector with a total seating capacity of 15.22 lakhs.

The candidates who want to get enrolled in various Industrial Training Institutes of the state should be 15 and 25 years of age. After training at ITI the successful candidates are awarded the National Trade Certificate which is recognized throughout the country to get admission in Advanced Training Institutes in the country for better job opportunities. Candidates are selected by the Government of Sikkim purely on merit basis of written or oral test to get admission to various ITI’s in the state. Admission forms are available generally in the month of June/July every year and training commences from 1st August.
