Nagaland ITI Admission, Admit Card, Entrance Exam and Results

To fulfill the growing demand of technically skilled persons, the Directorate General of Employment & Training (DGE&T) in the Ministry of Labour, Government of India initiated the Craftsmen Training Scheme in 1950 to impart skills in various vocational trades to meet the growing demand of various industries. In the year 1980 there were 830 ITI’s and the number rose to 1900 ITI’s in the year 1987. During the 90’s there is a steep growth of ITI’s and at present there are over 10,750 ITI’s out of which 2275 in Government sector and 8475 in Private Sector with the seating capacity of 15.22 lakh students.

These Industrial Training Institutes impart both technical as well as non technical education to the students that help them to earn better. Training periods to various courses range from six months to two years in over 130 different specialties. Prerequisites for the courses range from 8th to 12th class and on completion of the training, trainees write the All India Trade Test (AITT) and the successful candidates receive the National Trade Certificate (NTC).
