Jammu & Kashmir ITI Admission, Admit Card and Results

Technical education is the need of today. It contributes substantially to the socio-sustenance of various industries. The Directorate of Technical Education ensures a planned development and flexibility to adapt according to the needs and demands of rapid change in the industrial sector. In the state of Jammu & Kashmir, the Department of Technical Education plays a lead role in providing the manpower to various industries.

The Department of Technical Education came into existence in 1981 having under its ambit both the polytechnics and Industrial Training Institutes (ITI’s). The Department initially had 07 ITI’s and 02 Polytechnics which over a period of time grown to 60 ITI’s (54 in Government Sector and 06 in Private Sector) and 32 Polytechnics (24 in Government Sector and 02 in Private Sector). The intake capacity in ITI’s as of now is 15763 in 72 varied trades of 06 months, 01 year and 02 years of duration. In Polytechnics AICTE recognized 03- year diploma programs in 16 different trades with an intake capacity of 5655 seats.

Application for Entrance test notification has been issued by the Directorate of Technical Education, Jammu & Kashmir on its official website jkdte.org. The application forms for the admission are available in the month of June and can be obtained by the cash payment of Rs 40/-. Interested candidates can visit the official website and can directly download the application form.
